some notes about rome

Currency exchange

Almost everywhere accepts 'Tap' to pay making it very convenient. If you wish to get Euros, ATMs often offer the best exchange rate.

getting around

Rome has a very easy bus system to get around the city. You can easily 'Tap' to pay on the bus.  Taxis are also easily accessible.  You can also download their ride-share app called "Free Now".

travel adaptor

Italy operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz. You will need to bring a European Travel Adapter to safely charge your devices.

how to avoid a tourist trap:

  • If the host or wait staff ushers you to sit down at the restaurant.

  • Restaurants with tons of tables lined up & long lines.

  • Any place directly in front of a Roman landmark.

other notes:

  • Please be careful of pickpocketing, especially in high traffic areas.

  • Never order a cappuccino past 11:00 AM or you will be shamed!
